The exploration of outer space, which began in Russia, opens up new prospects for global civilization.
In Russian Federation the exploration and use of outer space, including the Moon and other celestial bodies, is one of the most important directions of activities in the interests of citizens, society and state.

The present Law is intended to provide legal regulation for space activities and stimulates the application of the potential of space science and industry for solving socio-economic, scientific, technical and defense task of Russian Federation.
